What is the Colorblind Simulator?

Upload a game screenshot and see, right in your browser, how it looks under different types of color vision deficiency. Check your UI and effect colors from the perspective of players with different color vision.

How to Use

  1. Drag and drop the game screenshot you want to check, or click to select one.
  2. Choose the color vision type you want to simulate.
  3. Compare the original and simulated images side by side.
  4. Download the simulated image if you need it.

Example

Upload a UI with red and green HP/MP bars side by side, select "Deuteranopia," and you'll see how hard it can be to tell the two colors apart.

Using This in Game Development

Check during development whether UI elements that rely on color alone — HP bars, minimap icons, quest markers — are still distinguishable for players with color vision deficiencies. It's also a good way to decide where you need shapes or icons in addition to color.

Notes

This simulation uses a simplified approximation algorithm. Actual perception varies between individuals, and this tool doesn't guarantee medical accuracy or serve as a diagnosis. Use it as a general accessibility guideline.
